This intriguing and beautiful folk opera delivers a deeply resonant and defiantly hopeful theatrical experience. Following two intertwining love stories – that of young dreamers Orpheus and Eurydice, and that of immortal King Hades and lady Persephone – Hadestown invites audiences on a hell-raising journey to the underworld and back. Inspired by traditions of classic American folk music and vintage New Orleans jazz, Mitchell’s beguiling sung-through musical pits industry against nature, doubt against faith, and fear against love.

Cancellations & Refunds

• After rehearsals have begun: Once rehearsals are underway, no refunds or credits will be given under any circumstances. This includes voluntary withdrawal, schedule conflicts, or dismissal due to policy violations.
• Casting: Refunds are not issued due to dissatisfaction with casting or role placement. Every role is essential to the production’s success, and each student receives valuable training and stage time.
• If a performer is unable to complete the 13-week production or withdraws at any time, including the day of the show, an additional $200 cancellation fee will apply.

Attendance Policy

• Rehearsal Commitment: Musical Theater productions require consistent attendance. Students who miss more than 4 rehearsals for any reason (including illness, family events, or scheduling conflicts) may be removed from the production at the discretion of the directors.
• Refunds for Attendance Issues: If a student is removed from the production due to excessive absences, no refunds or credits will be issued.

Exceptions

The only exceptions to this policy are at the sole discretion of The Performer’s Academy.
